Oncofertility and fertility preservation - It encompasses egg cryoreservation, embryo cryoreservation and semen freezing. It is done before the start of chemo/ radiotherapy, bone marrow transplant or surgery. It is indicated for - 

• Cancer pts - like those suffering from  leukemias, multiple myeloma, sarcoma, breast cancer, lymphoma, testicular cancer.
• ⁠Myeloproliferative and myelodyslastic disorders 
• Benign hematological diseases like thalassemia major, aplastic anemia, sickle cell disease, fanconi’s anemia. 
• Extensive surgery for endometriosis
• ⁠Premature ovarian insufficiency - Turner’s syndrome, fragile X syndrome, family history of early menopause
• ⁠BRCA mutation carriers 
• Transgender males before the start of hormonal treatment and sex affirmation surgery
